oh Mary Higgins Clark
9:49 PMi'm supposed to be in bed right now, being sober and reading a book. that is what i kept telling myself over and over again when i was on my way home. unfortunately, Survivor Philippines was on when i got home and the laptop, tempting and alluring, was just beside the sofa.
and i got hooked. pretty bad.
anyway, reading Mary Higgins Clark's novels is what i'm bent on reading tonight. this morning, when i was surfing the net, i saw an adaptation of one of her novels, All Around the Town, and i suddenly had the urge to read it. i even have more than half a dozen of her novels in my bookshelf. back when i was in Davao for a two-month vacation, Clark was one of the things that entertained me (besides the eagles, the beach, and Law and Order).
i love Mary Higgins Clark. Her thrillers have good plots, she writes in a way that you'll feel like you're watching a movie (different POVs), and her writing's very decent, if you know what i mean. Very clean writing.
who knows? maybe i'll end up reading not just one but two of her novels tonight.
